Derek and Laura Visit aka Help Mama Out

My brother Derek and his wife Laura came to visit us back in September. This was their first time to Louisiana so we tried to give them the local experience. With Isaac being a new baby the Louisiana experience ended up being lots of baby holding and Oliver entertaining. They were such a big help around the house and allowed me to get more day to day tasks done, including catching up on this blog. They even offered to babysit one night so David and I could go out on a date. Even though I put them to work they were able to eat LOTS of seafood and I figure they’ll just have to come visit again to do the more touristy stuff.

Isaac’s Baptism

Isaac was baptized into the Catholic Church on September 14th. We had many friends and family join us to celebrate. I wish I would have taken more pictures of all those who came but I was caught up in the busyness of the day. We had people over for brunch before the baptism then to the church where we did get some pictures.

After the baptism we had people over for coffee and cake. As you can see I didn’t have quite enough frosting for the cake, but it was still yummy. Thank you all who came to see Isaac become a member of the faith. We love you all!
